Short Description: Horseshoe Beach is 20 miles west of Cross City, 65 miles from Gainesville and 115 miles south of Tallahassee and Jacksonville. The community is one of the foremost oyster harvesting villages in the state. A number of the residents of the small town of Horseshoe Beach make their living from the Gulf waters.
Nearby communities include Cross City (17.6 miles), Cedar Key (26.5 miles), Fanning Springs (27.0 miles), Chiefland (29.5 miles), Trenton (34.5 miles) and Bell (36.5 miles).
