A.The Florida Academy of Pet Grooming is located at 4570 Chumuckla Hwy in the nearby community of Pace. You can contact them by phone at 850.994.0063 or by Email
Q.I trying to see if you have falconry camps in pensacola, fl Nakisha
A.Start with the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida, in Pensacola (850.433.9453, Email), a non-profit organization, working to provide care to injured or orphaned indigenous wildlife. They conduct educational programs and field trips for a variety of birds, including bald eagles, golden eagles, owls and hawks. If they don't have what you need, they should be able to direct you to local resources.
Q.what is the crime rate and the best school in the ensley area east ensley and chemstrand
A.
Crime Rate in Ensley, Florida
The Pensacola Police Department Crime Rate in Escambia County was 5,546.4 per 100,000 population in 2002. For a narrow breakdown of the crime rate contact the Escambia for the Ensley area, Email Citizen Inquiry for the Escambia County (850.436.9630) and they should be able to assist you.

Q.I was planning to stay in Perdido Key near Sandy Key Drive in June of 2006.  Will Hurricane Dennis affect activities and attractions this summer?  Thanks for your help.

A.

The lovely, natural areas of Perdido Key were affected by the hurricanes of the last two seasons. Pavilions were destroyed as well as shade and sand washed away. But the repairs began rapidly in August of 2005 replacing and reconstructing beach pavilions, a nature trail, beach crossovers, a parking lot, entrance station the Perdido Key Road as well as the habitat area of the endangered Perdido Key beach mouse. Perdido Key is currently welcoming visitors and soon will be as lovely as ever. Keep in mind, the wrath placed upon the area by the hurricanes and that all is not yet perfect.... but enjoy this natural creative wonder on your vacation in Perdido Key.

Q.What is the nearest airport to Navarre?
A.Navarre is about mid-point between the Pensacola Regional Airport and the Okaloosa Regional Airport located on Eglin AFB. Both airports provide Commercial Passenger Service. Okaloosa Regional does not provide service for private planes due to its location on Eglin.
Q.I have been told there is going to be a very big boat auction in Pensacola, FL set for Dec. 4, 2004.  That is the extent of what I've been told.  I was wondering if that info. could be verified, and if any details, directions, and numbers that I could get to find out more info. on this event.  Thank you for any help given.     corymaher@hotmail.com
A.Our research has not produced the results you need. The only upcoming boat exhibits are in Tampa, St. Petersburg and the Miami International Boat Show. You might contact the Pensacola Chamber (info@pensacolachamber.com), the Pensacola Convention and Visitors Bureau (800.874.1234)and the Pensacola Beach Chamber (800.635.4803). They are all very helpful and will make all effort to answer your questions. Good luck!
Q.will the beaches and other hurricane damages be repaired by december 20th
A.The area has been severely impacted by Ivan and it would be difficult to replenish the beaches by the holiday season. The area is very resilient and could be ready to accept visitors on a location-by-location basis. For the best information on area beaches, contact the Pensacola Beach Visitor Information Center at 850.932.1582 or tollfree at 800.635.4803 or email them, penbeach@bellsouth.net
Q.What's the update on Perdido Towers.  Any damage ? ( This is where we vacation starting Jan, 2005).

Thank you.
A.The area north of Sundowner and Seafarer was hit pretty hard. All the high rises are standing but there is some structural damage to several. The condos on the east side of each building were damaged especially on the 3rd and 4th floor on each building. Water damage in the area was also significant, but recovery appears to be moving swiftly, considering the damage to the entire area. Keep in contact with your travel agency for detailed information.
Q.when is the Bushwacker Festival in 2004?
A.We contacted the Pensacola Beach Residents & Leaseholders Assn, web site: http://pbrla.com who said the 2004 Bushwacker Festival may not be firmly set until late Spring but usually is held the first weekend in August (or very close to that).
Q.i'm doing a project in class where i have to find a community problem in my area. for example if there is a problem with children having a place to go play istead of playing in the street. i would like to know about the problems in the ensley area?it would be greatly appreicated if i could get a respose as soon as possible.

Thank you
wanda
A.We had another similar request and without us living or interviewing people in that area - we just have to guess based on the general demographics. The unincorporated area of Ensley is not without open space for children to play and the climate for these children is wonderful yearround!

The Ensley community is a solid middle class community with increasing property valuations and a growing number of families. The quality of education is the most probable community problem. ie: student/teacher ratio (currently 18/1), expenditures per student, percentage of children attending, student/librarian ratio, student/guidance counselor ratio, and the absorption rate of the growing influx of school age children into this school district of 88 schools.

Q.My name is Charlene and I am a social work major at uwf and doing a research paper on a community in the are of pensacola.  I am trying to find out the most concerned problem in the warrington problem.

Please contact me as soon as possible

Thank You Much

Charlene B.
A.None of us are social psychologists, but with around 16,000 people live in the Warrington area of Pensacola and an average age of 35. Housing is good, the climate is wonderful and crime is low! The number one problem may be the quality of schools. (student/teacher ratio, expenditures per student, percentage of expenditures, high school dropout rate, parent education levels, percentage of children attending, student/librarian ratio, percentage of children living under the poverty level). The area is working to improve in this area.
